Top Ten Tips For Surviving Uncharted 2

Being an avid gamer, having just finished my play through of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves on Hard, and having just started up my new blog: Proudly a Gamer Girl, I've decided to kick things off with some helpful hints for play Uncharted 2. If any of you out there have played the game you know that it is not an easy feat especially on the harder settings. Fortunately through my playing experience I've come up with a few helpful hints for surviving Uncharted 2.

1.Think Creatively
-
Playing this game is not just a trip through the park. Watch your step. Creative thinking can save Nate's life and get you through some of the harder scenes. Not everything is as it seems.

2. Switch it Up
- Strategy not working? Playing on one of the harder levels and the strategy you used before not falling through. Try something different. I can't tell you how many times I've played a fight scene twenty times using an old strategy then beat it the first time once I tried something different.

3. Make Like a Ninja
- Whenever in a fight scene use stealth whenever possible. It will keep Nate alive and conserve ammo.

4. Conserve Ammo (who saw that one coming?)
- In fight scenes with large amounts of enemies try only to shoot as little as possible. Running out of ammo is a bad deal and usually winds up with Nate dying.

5. Use Higher Level Weapons Whenever Possible
- Enemies with more armor are easier to kill when using the weapon they are using or weapons stronger than they are using. No access to higher level weapons? See #6

6. Blind Fire is Your Friend
- Shot-gun guy heading your way and all you have is a pistol. Blind fire is an excellent tool! Gun 'em down as they approach without getting shot. Works 99% of the time.

7. Never Get Cornered
- Keep moving. Whether you press forward or fall back don't stay in one place for too long. Enemies in this game are smart and will try to flank you or hit your weak spots.

8. Don't Let Them Sneak Up On You
- Never let enemies get behind you, especially in large fight scenes. This will almost always result in death if too many get behind you or come at you from the sides. If they do get around you, cause it happens sometimes, take them out quickly!

9. Look Before You Leap
- Evaluate a fight scene before charging in guns blazing. One fight scene in the Monastery levels can (with full ammo) can be completely beaten without even dropping down into the courtyard once. Higher ground = GOOD!

10. Take Caution
- Auxiliary Characters (ex. Chloe, Elena, Sully) CAN die on you. It's rare but it happens. Never abandon your auxiliary characters or get to far away under heavy fire. I've had Elena die on me before when I wasn't expecting it and I had to do the scene over. It sucks. So, they have your back, make sure you have their.

So I guess that's for my Top Ten Tips for Surviving Uncharted 2! Follow these like a creed and I guarantee ya' kid you're going to be alright.
